The city of the Virgin Mary, internationally renowned as well as being the most famous place in the Pyrenees.
Second in the world as a place of pilgrimage and second town in France for the number of hotels, Lourdes welcomes 5 million visitors each year.

The "cirque de Gavarnie", Lord of the Pyrenees, 800 m diameter at the base and 4 km at the summit. From the village you can get by riding on a donkey or following a botanical foothpath in the National Park in order to gaze at the magnificent waterfall (the higest in Europe).
